With the status indicator you can see immediately which of your partners are online, absent or already in a conference. This helps you decide whether, when, and how you wish to contact your colleagues or partners and thus save valuable time in the process.

When collaborating with colleagues, you can show them what you want directly in your application, regardless whether you are working in Excel, Word or on a webpage in your browser. Highlight important passages and give others access to your application. They can then directly edit the contents. Thus, you combine the advantages of a videoconference with those of a web conference.

A contact is neatly displayed with name and photo in a list. All relevant functions can be invoked from the icons for each contact. Call, chat, invite, edit or delete: Everything you need is only one click away.

Not only can several users edit a document together, but also exchange documents.

PlaceCam is currently available in 14 languages. It is hence ideal for use around the world and for international communication.

In addition to audio and screen transmission, all participants are able to exchange text messages. This can be done directly between two participants (private chat) or with all participants (group chat).

You can record your current conference simply by pressing a button, for example to archive important arrangements or share them with colleagues who were unable to attend the conference.

If you don’t want to run PlaceCam in your intranet or on one of your servers or simply cannot do so, you can send audio and video signals via our USL service available on the web (USL = User Session Locator).

By using the Outlook calendar function, you can easily organize your dates for videoconferences in Outlook. The invited participants will receive a reminder of the conference date and can log in to the conference by clicking the link provided.

PlaceCamWeb provides even a higher level of flexibility when inviting participants. Participants can now join your videoconference without having to install the software themselves. Access is made possible by clicking the link provided.

External business partners who use other videoconferencing applications, such as Polycom or VideoMeet, can be integrated with your own conference; without having to install hardware.

As the name suggests, the Polycom CX5000 360° panorama camera gives you a panoramic view of all conference participants. The integrated handsfree device detects the active speaker and highlights him or her in PlaceCam. This keeps you at the center of attention.
